Spare Change for Lasting Change - The Winchester Beacon

Have you spotted the red house-shaped collection boxes in the city? Spare Change for Lasting Change is a diverted giving scheme co-ordinated by Winchester BID and Winchester City Council.

Often people want to help those experiencing homelessness but it can be tricky to know how best to do it. Spare Change for Lasting Change provides the opportunity to donate money to support two homelessness charities in Winchester, The Winchester Beacon and Trinity Winchester.

Restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops across the city have the collection boxes available in their businesses. You can donate cash or scan the QR code and donate online. The funds are used to provide accommodation, advice and support to enable people to escape homelessness for good.

Thank you to everyone who has donated over the last year and to all the businesses involved, together you have raised £1800 which has been shared between our two charities, thank you.
