We really appreciate the donation of food and other items from our local community. As we have limited storage, we are regularly produce a list of our most-needed items, please see below.
If possible please phone the office on 01962 862050 or complete the enquiry form below if you have items you would like to donate so that we can confirm we have space for the donation.
Harvest:
We have produced a list of our most-needed items handout which you can download and print from the link below. We hope that this might help local organisations, schools and churches circulate our harvest wishlist to parishioners, pupils and families.
Food:
- Fresh vegetables
- Instant coffee
- Tea bags
- Squash
- Granulated sugar
- Tinned meats (stews, curries, spam etc)
- Pot noodles
Other items:
-
- Anti bac wipes
- Toilet roll
- Washing powder/tablets
- Anti-perspirant
- Sleeping bags
- Items for residents moving on to their own accommodation:
- Tin opener
- Television
- Microwave

- Tea towels
Our storage space is very limited and therefore we are unfortunately only able to accept our most-needed items. At the moment we do not have space for duvets, pillows, towels, bedding or clothing.
Sometimes we find we have too much of a particular food item. In this situation, to ensure no food is wasted we redistribute donations to other charities and community organisations in the City including Winchester Basics Bank and the Carroll Centre.
Help for our Cooks
We are fortunate to have people across the community who regularly cook meals at home which they deliver to us to serve to our residents. The cost of living crisis means that some of our off-site cooks are struggling to buy the ingredients to make the meals especially the more expensive items such as meat. Can you help our cooks by donating meat for them to use in their meals? If you would like to find out more please contact our Catering Co-ordinator – catering@winchesterbeacon.org.uk.
