We are excited to welcome Hayley Wood to our team of staff. Hayley has joined our charity in the position of Operations Manager and will be leading the day-to-day running of The Winchester Beacon. Hayley has 15 years’ experience as a senior manager specialising in support work with families and vulnerable adults.

“There has been a strong focus on homelessness throughout my career so far. No one makes themselves intentionally homeless, it’s a snowball effect. I want to help to give people the skills, the tools and the confidence to seek support and maintain tenancies.

I am still settling in but I have already established that no one day will be the same. The role involves lots of problem solving alongside the management of staff, processes and the changing needs of residents.

I am really looking forward to working with the staff to grow and evolve our team and utilise the skillset we have to its full potential. We are so fortunate to have such a fantastic team of staff who go above and beyond. They work hard alongside our wonderful loyal team of volunteers.

It is hard for people at the moment and I feel the true impact of the cost of living is yet to be felt. However, I am confident that together we can achieve even more positive outcomes.
