Bob moved to The Winchester Beacon straight from hospital where he had been recovering for several months from a hit and run accident.

During his stay Bob has been supported to bid for housing, received help sorting his finances and applying for a new driving licence. He has also been able to have continued treatment from district nurses visiting The Winchester Beacon to ensure his recovery.

In April, four months after this arrival, Bob received the good news that he had successfully secured accommodation to move on to. The photo below captures his last night at The Winchester Beacon.

“I am just so much happier, knowing I have somewhere to go, often you don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel and being told you will soon have a key to your own door is rather like winning the lottery, somewhere to call your own.”
