We urgently need to replace our washing machine and dryer – can you help?
For years, we have relied on second-hand industrial style washing and drying machines generously supported by a local company. These machines have been essential in providing clean, warm clothing and bedding to people experiencing homelessness.
The machines have become unreliable and keep breaking down leaving our residents unable to wash their clothes. The engineer who volunteered his time to maintain the machines is retiring and can therefore no longer mend the machines for us.
Without reliable laundry facilities onsite, our residents are struggling to keep their clothes clean something so simple, yet so vital for dignity and wellbeing.
We need to raise £2000 to buy new machines that come with a service contract, ensuring they last for years to come.
Why this matters
Clean clothes aren’t just about hygiene; they provide dignity, comfort and confidence. For people facing homelessness, something as simple as fresh laundry can mean the difference between feeling invisible and feeling human.
