To mark World Homeless Day on Tuesday 10 October 2023, employees from Savills Winchester office visited The Winchester Beacon.
The visit provided an opportunity for Savills employees to understand more about the current picture of homelessness in the city and the many ways in which people can help.
Employees were taken on a tour of the building, in Jewry Street, and were able to learn about the wide range of support provided by the charity to residents on their path out of homelessness.
Keen to support the charity’s vital work, Savills recently made a donation to The Winchester Beacon.
Charlie Seligman, director at Savills, which is also based in Jewry Street, says: “Having spent an evening with the city’s street pastors recently, I have seen firsthand the excellent support The Winchester Beacon provides to those who need it. It was great to have the opportunity to find out more about the charity’s work and we are very pleased to support such an important local organisation.”
Michèle Price, Chief Executive of The Winchester Beacon commented: “We really enjoyed showing the Savills employees around our building and talking about the many ways we support people to rebuild their lives after homelessness. We would like to thank them for their support, their generous donation will have a positive impact on many lives.”
