Residents and staff had the opportunity to tour Winchester Cathedral this month.
One of our volunteers, who is also a tour guide at Winchester Cathedral, offered to take our residents on a tour of the Cathedral. The visit was arranged with the support of our Patron, the Very Revd Catherine Ogle, Dean of Winchester.
The tour was packed with fascinating facts with one resident commenting: “I last came inside the Cathedral with my parents as a small child, this is bringing back lots of memories.”
The visit was offered as part of our new programme of daytime activities aimed at giving residents the opportunity to try new things, explore their hobbies, build confidence, gain new skills and integrate into the community.
