As the countdown to Christmas picks up pace, many people are hectic with present buying, meal planning and house tidying ahead of a busy family Christmas. In contrast, there are thousands of people who are preparing to spend the festive period living on the streets.
Here at the Nightshelter, we will be keeping seventeen people off the streets this Christmas and an additional eight people will be accommodated in our off-site properties. Residents will sit down to a Christmas lunch cooked by volunteers and the day will be made as special as possible.
As well as being a safe and welcoming place to stay for residents every night of the year, the Nightshelter gives people experiencing homelessness the chance to make a change and have a fresh start.
