“My time at The Winchester Beacon has definitely bolstered me”

Tim became homeless when his relationship broke down with his mum. He spent two weeks living with a friend before securing a bed at The Winchester Beacon. He stayed with us for 15 months before being supported to move into his own flat.

“I know I wouldn’t be where I am today if it hadn’t been for The Winchester Beacon, I reckon I would be a lot worse off. It has helped me through a lot of lows and circumstances that I have found myself in and if it hadn’t been for The Beacon I may not have recovered properly.

My Support Worker at The Beacon has been a massive help. She has encouraged me to better myself. I got a lot of confidence from being here, I spoke to people more than I ever did. My time at The Beacon has definitely bolstered me.”
