Whilst staying with us, our residents have the chance to access a wide range of support and opportunities to help them to rebuild their lives and prepare for independent living.

During May and June, ten of our current residents took the opportunity to attend a Money Management course run by Christians Against Poverty. Babs Issac, the CAP Centre Manager at Hope Church Winchester, came to our main site to deliver the course.

Residents had the opportunity to work together to consider how to effectively budget, save and spend smartly. The classes gave the opportunity for people to share their experiences with money as well as explore ways that they can build better habits.

Our Support Worker, George, commented: “The course has been a brilliant opportunity for our residents to take the time and think carefully about their relationship with money. Babs has done a great job at explaining effective ways to handle money which should give residents confidence and know-how going forward.”
