Staff from the Winchester-based company, Kid-A, gave up their Sunday morning lie in to help raise funds to support The Winchester Beacon.
Kid-A cofounder, Andy Silcock and his colleagues Josh and Kirby volunteered their time and enthusiasm bright and early on Sunday 18th May.
Teaming up with our staff, they visited all the traders at the Cattle Market Car Park Car Boot Sale to collect their pitch fees. The weekly car boot sale is co-ordinated by Winchester City Council and provides an opportunity for local charities to raise funds through the pitch fees.
Nancy Judge, Senior Communications Officer at The Winchester Beacon commented: “We are so grateful for the opportunity to raise funds and awareness at the car boot sale. We really appreciate the support of local companies aligned to our charity and loved having the team from Kid-A with us today, they brought such energy and a willingness to really help. We raised £634 which will have a positive impact on the lives of many people facing homelessness.”
We are always keen to hear from local companies interested in supporting our work. Please contact nancy@winchesterbeacon.org.uk.
