We are challenging children to become Home Heroes this summer. Aware that many children have spent lots of time at home and days out and holidays might be limited – we hope to turn children’s attention to ways that they can do something positive from home to help people without a home.
Our Home Hero campaign invites children of all ages to come up with a fundraising idea and take charge in planning and organising it. Children can set themselves a challenge and be sponsored or they may choose to organise a virtual or real event. Check out some of the ideas in our fundraising pack available here.
We hope it will be an opportunity for children and their families to keep busy, have fun, come together with friends and family and experience a sense of achievement. Every fundraiser will receive a certificate which we hope they will share with school when they return in September.
Money raised will help fund our vital work with people experiencing homelessness. The Nightshelter not only provides essential accommodation and food but we also offer invaluable one-to-one support to help people get back on track.
Make sure you let us know your fundraising plans so that we can cheer you on!
