Peer Support Worker
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join The Winchester Beacon team as a Peer Support Worker. You will engage with residents and offer emotional support and practical guidance. The role involves encouraging clients to develop self-reliance and personal responsibility, fostering a sense of hope and autonomy. By building a respectful, engaging, and friendly relationship with each client, the Peer Support Worker will help to maximise the impact of the support available.
Applicants must have lived experience of homelessness and a right to work in UK. Full training for this role will be given.
Interested applicants are invited to send their CV and cover letter or a short film to applications@winchesterbeacon.org.uk. Deadline for applications is Friday 24th January 2025.
Bank Staff
We are keen to hear from people with experience of working in the homelessness sector who would be interested in becoming part-time bank staff. This would involve evening and night work. For more details, please email our Operations Manager, Hayley Wood, operations@winchesterbeacon.org.uk.
